Shree cement founded in Beawar in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan in the year 1979 and now headquartered in Kolkata, is one of the biggest cement makers in Northern India. Shree Cement is recognised as one of the most efficient and environment friendly Company in the global cement industry. Its cement plants are located in Rajasthan, Bihar, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand having cement capacity of 25.6 million tons per annum. The brands of Shree Cement include Shree JungRodhak, Bangur and Rockstrong cement. Product details: Bangur PPC is manufactured by blending a mixture of Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and pozzolana materials such as fly ash, in proportions not less than 15 per cent and not over 35 per cent by weight of cement. OPC contains a mixture of Portland clinker and gypsum ground to a very fine powder. In general, PPC cement is used over OPC cement largely for price difference purposes and where the setting time or early attainment of strength are not critical. Although, PPC cement has a lower 28 day strength over OPC cement, but in the long run it attains higher strength than OPC. Due to continuous conversion of liberated lime into a stronger gel, the strength of PPC Cement continues to increase with time.
